The Roku TV Now media streamer is essentially a Roku LT, rebranded and slimmed-down by Sky. With minimal hardware features and a locked-down UI to limit access to custom channels and streams, it focuses on Sky’s subscription “Now TV” service – i.e. it doesn’t do Netflix.
It was released the same week as Google’s super-high profile Chromecast, but did a great job pulling UK and Irish users away from Google’s much better offering. Why?
