Hi there, my name is Gavin and I am yet another member of the infamous MyVolts design team. It will always be our goal to design products that specifically meet our customers’ needs. In this blog post I hope to give you some insight into this objective, and the reasoning behind it.
Greetings MyVolts fans, my name is Ellen and I am one of the product designers working with the MyVolts team to change the way we power and charge our devices. Following on from Ross’s post last week, I’m going to share a bit more about our development process and give you some further insight into what we’ve been upto!
People often associate the words “design” or “designer” with elitist brands or overpriced luxury products. But good design is something which should be democratic and make a difference to as many people as possible; often going unnoticed in the process. This is the kind of design we are interested in, and we consider the task of rethinking DC power delivery as an opportunity to extol the virtues of good design.
As I write this, the Myvolts design team has already spent several months working on this project. And as with any design project, we began with collecting, distilling and evaluating information…. In other words: research, lots of research! We won’t bore you with all the details of that. Instead we will give you a more up-to-date picture of what’s been going on development-wise.
